(No, not all of them are sweet, nor do they all taste the same)
For years, rosé wine has been the great misunderstood of the wine world. Too light to be red, too serious to be white, and with the unfair label of "wine for those who don't know about wine".
But at BACO we are clear: a well-made rosé is a wine with personality, versatile, gastronomic and perfect for good weather.

What is a rosé (really)?
A rosé is not a blend of white and red. It is made with red grapes, such as Garnacha or Tempranillo, but with brief contact with the skins, which gives it that lighter color and a very fresh character.
Depending on how it is made, it can be light and fruity... or serious, structured and with aging potential.
And why do we like it so much?
Because it combines the best of both worlds:
-
The acidity and freshness of a white
-
The body and fruit of a red
And it also goes wonderfully with salads, rice dishes, tapas, sushi, Asian food or... nothing. Just a glass and a terrace.
Rosés you can try at BACO
-
Decenio Rosado – Bodegas Las Orcas: Garnacha, organic, dry and tasty.
-
Larrosa Izadi: 100% Garnacha. More serious, aged on lees, for those looking for something gastronomic.
-
La Piconada Rosado: Viura and Garnacha tinta, hand harvested, fermented at very low temperature to preserve all the aromatic intensity and then aged on lees.
