Maturana Tinta is one of the oldest varieties in Rioja and was on the verge of disappearing. Viña Ijalba was a pioneer in recovering it, and this wine proves it:
Aromas of black fruit, smoky notes, pepper, low scrub, and a mineral hint. On the palate, it is deep, with present but elegant tannins, and an acidity that gives it length.
