Gabaxo Red

Aroma of ripe red fruits, with hints of violets.
Long finish, spicy notes.
This red wine by Olivier Rivière, a Frenchman based in La Rioja, has been made with a selection of Garnacha, Tempranillo, and Graciano grapes. Its name refers to the nickname of this winemaker, "gabatxo," an appellation used by Basques and Riojans for people from the neighboring country. Rivière, far from taking it as an offense, chose it to name one of his wines. In it, we find aromas of ripe red fruits and violets, as well as a long finish with spicy notes. Serious, balanced, and mature without excess. .
