The nose is intense, complex, and fresh with notes of fresh red fruit and balsamic touches reminiscent of Mediterranean aromatic herbs.
The palate is complex, fresh with good tension and minerality.
From the estate of the same name, this is a red wine made from 80-year-old Grenache vines from Badarán, from a vineyard on degraded clay-iron soils, on one side, and angular colluvial stones on the surface. The more than 80-year-old vines are very old clones, which, together with a winemaking process with stems and where the character of the variety prevails, makes La Canal del Rojo a different, fresh, fruity, mineral, transparent wine when it comes to expressing the most elegant side of Grenache, with wild touches, aromatic and long-lived.
