Maldonado Albariño Uruguay

Notes of citrus, peach and saline minerals.

The touch of Michelini i Mufatto in Uruguay. A 100% Albariño with all the marine influence from the other side of the Atlantic. This wine is a blend of Albariño from two vineyards. One is 400 meters from the sea with a more aromatic and saline profile. The other, in the mountains, is more mineral. The combination of both provides the perfect balance of acidity, complexity, and structure. It is vinified with 100% whole cluster, in foudre and concrete tanks with 8 months of aging. Only 2,000 bottles are produced, and Tim Atkin named it 'White Wine of the Year' in the 2021 Uruguay wine report.
