Martell VS Cognac

In 1715, young Jean Martell founded the cognac house that bears his name. It is the oldest of the great cognac distilleries, where Les Borderies, the most valuable and smallest cru in the Cognac region, is preserved. It is made in traditional Charentais copper stills to obtain a very pure brandy, free of sediment and impurities. Aging takes place in fine-grained oak barrels, and after at least two years of maturation, the brandy is transferred to demijohns, thus stopping the aging process.
