Queiron The Ark

El Arca is Queirón's first wine from a Singular Vineyard, El Arca; a plot of less than one hectare of century-old Garnacha vines in Quel, a unique and astonishing vineyard with a surface area of 0.89 hectares that is a true relic for which we have found historical documentation dating back to 1892. The soil of El Arca also forms the wonder of a small universe, an amalgam of sands with silts and various clay layers, tiny but perceptible, that give it the personality of an extremely poor soil. It is a very special wine that ferments in closed barrels; it then undergoes malolactic fermentation in French barrels and spends 20 months in egg-shaped cement tanks before being bottled.
